I have been taking my three children to this practice since we moved here in 2014. Dr. Ameer was always very knowledgeable and explained everything quite well.
However, her front office staff is horrendous. If I could rate this place just on Dr. Ameer, I would give it another one or two stars.
Wow!!! Receptionist is very rude! This will impact this business... The office is cute and very welcoming for kids. Dental hygienists are super nice, but they keep pushing fluoride treatment. They don't really care about providing a good dental cleaning service, they just want to bill for X-ray and fluoride treatment. I took my daughter to another dentist, where they did a great job. I tried to give Pbcd a second and last chance, but the receptionist was so rude as if they were doing me a favor. She kept putting me on hold, and came back with an attitude. She was upset that I took my daughter to another dentist.
The last straw for me was when my two girls became ill on the morning of their scheduled dentist appointment. After having to pick them up from school, getting them home and settled, I called Palm Beach Children's Dentist office to let them know that we wouldn't be able to make our appointments that day since both my girls were sent home early with the stomach flu. The receptionist snapped back at me saying that "in the future, you need to call us 24 hours in advance to reschedule, as these appointments could have been given to other patients".
This is just one example of many issues I've encountered at this location. I rarely give poor reviews but I feel as though this one was warranted.
I have 3 boys and have been going to Palm Beach Children's Dentistry for right around 3 years. Their previous dentist in Wellington did things like putting the already terrified kids in a straight jacket to keep them from moving to much. He capped baby teeth which caused more issues. Dr Ameer is so amazing, she truly knows and understands her patients. My middle son was so scared of even the mere mention of the word "dentist" for a long time. Dr Ameer has worked so hard with him over the past 3 years to the point of blocking out periods of her schedule to allow for more time with him during his needed dental work. He has now gotten over his fear of going to the dentist and actually enjoys going to see her. The entire STAFF at Palm Beach Children's Dentistry is polite, professional, and caring. Every visit is a great experience and I recommend Palm Beach Children's dentistry to everyone, even those who already have a dentist. They really are that awesome. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!
What a great experience every time that we bring our kids to Palm Beach Children's Dentistry. Great staff, doctors are amazing don't treat you like a number. What a great experience.
Dr. Ameer and staff are very understanding and wonderful with kids. They were kind and caring with both of our children , especially with our special needs son. I would definitely recommend them to other families.
