Let me start off saying that one star is much too high for this dr. So I went to the office a few days ago because I got something in my eye that I couldn't get out. I was sitting in the office chair filling out the paperwork and I felt a little bit of relief like it came out of my eye and I turn the paperwork back in because I had some relief so I was going to go home but the receptionist talked me into doing it anyways. I sat in the examination chair and some guy walked in who didn't even introduce himself, didn't wash his hands or use sanitizer, and did not even put on gloves. This guy didn't tell me anything he was doing or any procedures that was going on he put medicine in my eye that he didn't even ask me if I was allergic to or tell me he's doing anything. And proceeded to tell me that I had an infection in my left eye, I told him this literally just happened less than an hour ago so an infection would be a little far-fetched. It takes while for an infection to start but I guess that's what he diagnosis is for for insurance purposes so they get the maximum return on that. I would urge you to find another opthamologist because I am going to if I ever need one again. I would never step foot back in this office because for that guy was the rudest I've ever met in my life. My wife is in the medical field and when he prescribed me a steroid and a antibiotic for my eye I looked at her and she was surprised that I would need steroids and antibiotics for something that literally just happened and I asked him is that necessary and he got very defensive flipped out and basically said you don't have to listen to me if you don't want to that's my expert opinion and then he walked out of the room like a child. For all I know that probably wasn't even a doctor cuz he never even introduced himself I don't know who it was because I've never met a doctor who acted like that and was very unsanitary by not washing his hands before patience God forbid he actually touch somebody else's face before you touch mine. Find another opthamologist and do yourself a favor. I'm going to try to report this incident to whoever I can to make sure that they follow proper hand washing procedures before touching patients face or eyes. I've never went to medical school but I only imagine that they teach proper hand-washing technique so you don't spread infections are germs from one person's eye or face to another one.
I had a painful foreign body in my eye yesterday, so I called Dr. Heft's office I was so grateful that his competent staff added me on to his busy schedule. I left just minutes after Dr. Heft removed a small metal speck, pain free!

Dr. Haft is probably the best eye doctor I've ever been to. He knows what he's doing, He was recommended to me 17 years ago, and treated my eye condition quickly. He even came in on a Saturday and didn't charge me extra. If you engage him in conversation, especially about travel, he's a terrific conversationalist.
